My name is Cassie. I'm a graphic designer with a deep seated love of simplicity and sustainability. I've always loved making things. The satisfaction gained from seeing something that was created through nothing but your own efforts is something that I will never grow tired of feeling.
Artistic careers were never something that was advised or really explored as an option for me during high school, and so when the time came to decide what I would potentially study at university, I decided to follow another interest of mine, Japanese. After gaining a degree in japanese language and then working as a pre-school english teacher in Japan for 2 years, I returned to Australia to finally pursue my passion for creativity.
I completed both a Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration and a Diploma of Graphic Design while working part time at IKEA in the Communication and Interior Design department. My interest in learning about the entire process from conception to production and then implementation of graphic design plans afforded me the opportunity to join the small graphics team for the $20 million dollar IKEA Richmond City Store rebuild.
I'd like to continue exploring the world of creative design, especially in print, as I strongly believe;
if you're not learning, then you're not really living.
